God Was Faithful In 2011

2011 goes down in the history books as the most difficult year of my life so far.   I've had some awful personal experiences, but having your child's life hang in the balance trumps it all.  Although leukemia and May 19th (diagnosis day) will forever leave its stain on 2011,  it is not my greatest memory for the year.

Remember how I told you about the song I heard on the radio when I realized that there was something very wrong with my child?   And how Holy Spirit comforted me with the words, "God is Faithful"?   That brief, three-word phrase has come to be my greatest memory for 2011.  Like the Widow of Zarepath,  we saw some hard times, but our barrel of meal was never empty and our cruse of oil never ran dry.   I still struggle with the reality of leukemia, I still hurt for my child and family, and  I still have to lay my problems at Jesus' feet on a daily basis.  However, human words cannot express how abundantly faithful God has been to my family!   I'm struggling with the words, so I'll say it this way:

God is Faithful.  Trust Him in 2012.

5 Grace Notes:

  1. You are so right. We also have seen God's faithfulness this year through it all.
