Homemade salt-free seasoning

(I'm sharing an old post perfect for this week's WFMW)

Homemade salt-free seasoning is so easy to make! It is a great way to use up the "odds and ends" vegetables in the fridge.
This batch includes baby carrots, onions, green onions, garlic, bell peppers and wax peppers. Here they are laid out on my dehydrator trays. Cookie sheets in a slow oven overnight will dry your veggies just as well.

You can stop here and make some veggie soup mix. Just add the dry vegetable broth.

I threw it all in the blender and gave it a whirl.

It stores nicely in the cupboard. Because I live in a humid climate, my salt-free seasoning sometimes clumps. That's because there's no preservatives or other unnatural junk in it. It's not a big deal, just give the container a good shake with the lid closed and you are on your way!

Oooooh! I love it. I have a dehydrator that I've been thinking about a lot lately. I'm going to try this. I love cooking tips!

I use Mrs. Dash every day and I buy it in bulk at Costco. I will have to try this, though.

Ohhh, I like this idea. I make my own chic seasoing, and it also clumps up a little. Can you dry up fruit in there as well. THanks for sharing.
